Vriligy 60 mg is a generic medication primarily used for the treatment of Premature Ejaculation (PE) in adult men. It helps to increase the time it takes to ejaculate and can improve control over ejaculation during sexual activity. This medicine has been very effective and popular among men because of its rapid action on the nervous system, allowing one to satisfy the sensual needs of their partner without any difficulty or rapid climax troubles.
HOW IT WORKS
Vriligy 60 mg works by utilizing its active ingredient, Dapoxetine, which is a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It works by inhibiting the serotonin transporter, increasing serotonin's action at the post-synaptic cleft, and consequently delaying ejaculation. It is very important: Vriligy 60 mg does not increase sexual desire or treat erectile dysfunction; it is strictly designed to improve ejaculatory control under proper sexual stimulation.
HOW TO TAKE
This medication can be consumed some 1 to 3 hours before your anticipated sexual act. The tablet should be swallowed whole with at least one full glass of water to minimize the risk of lightheadedness or fainting. Vriligy 60 mg can be taken with or without food, but it is highly recommended to avoid alcohol entirely, as combining them increases the risk of drowsiness, dizziness, and sudden drops in blood pressure.
MISSED DOSE
Do not try to make up for the missed tablet. This medication is strictly intended for on-demand use before sexual activity and should not be taken as a daily continuous treatment. Never double up, because taking more than one dose within a 24-hour period significantly increases the risk of severe side effects.
SIDE EFFECTS
Common side effects include nausea, dizziness, headache, flushing (feeling of warmth), stomach upset, diarrhea, insomnia, and fatigue.
Please seek immediate medical attention if you experience fainting, a sudden drop in blood pressure upon standing, severe mood shifts, or visual disturbances.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
You must not take Vriligy 60 mg if you use monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), thioridazine, lithium, or other SSRI/SNRI medications. It is also unsafe to combine this medicine with recreational drugs or potent CYP3A4 inhibitors. Always speak to a healthcare provider before use, especially if you have a history of heart problems, fainting (syncope), bipolar disorder, severe depression, or kidney impairment.
